Find A Realtor: Put the first thing in first place, get your own Realtor. SRS Real estate team member will be happy to serve you as your own Realtor and provide you with information and one on one instructions and guidelines to purchase your home and save you time, money and energy.

Relationship with your Realtor: Develop a relationship with your Realtor - SRS Real Estate Representative. Realtors work within a legal relationship called "Agency Relationship". The agency relationship is between you and the company that represents you. It is a requirement that Realtor must disclose to their clients the kind of representation they will be receiving. This disclosure is usually done with the aid of a blue brochure called " Working with a Real Estate Agent". Signing the brochure does not obligate you in any way. Upon signing it, you have acknowledged that you understood the agency relationship between you and your Realtor. Mortgage Qualification: Get mortgage pre approval from your mortgage lender. Find out your mortgage rates, monthly payment, CMHC fees if high ratio mortgage, first time home buying qualification for property purchase tax exemption if applicable, required down payment, and how much money you can borrow and most importantly their lending requirements. Make arrangement for the lender's requirements a head of time. Mortgage issue could become the biggest obstacle in your purchase. Get pre approval for your mortgage and be a qualified buyer so that when time comes to make an offer you will be confident and you will be able to make a right purchase.

Become a Market Wise: Make yourself market wise, ask your Realtor - SRS Real Estate Rep to provide you with information on the current market conditions: sales, listings and current market trends. When time comes to make a buying decision you will be confident. When the time is right, it will be easier for you and your Realtor to make a wise buying decision without involving people who offer free advice without current market knowledge.

Communication: Two way communication is vital part of the buying process. Keep in touch and stay in touch with your Realtor. If any change in terms of buying needs call your Realtor and let him know right way. Any concerns and doubts must be communicated as soon as possible.
